Finding Peace in Uncertainty: Bible Verses for Military Spouses
Being a military spouse comes with many unknowns. How long will we live here? Will we be sent overseas? Will my spouse go on deployment? Will I be able to see my family at Christmas? So much is out of our control. Thankfully, we have someone much greater than ourselves who is in control. He will protect us, and we can trust in Him. Below are some Bible verses that will help you remember we can put our trust in Him, for He loves and cares for us.
James 1
2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.
12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
Jeremiah 17:7-8
7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord.
8 He is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remain green,
and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit.”
Isaiah 26:3
You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.
Psalm 121:1-2
I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
Romans 8:38-39
38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
David Livingston Quote
“God, send me anywhere, only go with me. Lay any burden on me, only sustain me. And sever any tie in my heart except the tie that binds my heart to Yours.”
Remember to always seek God and Jesus, our king and savior. Go to Him, and there you will find peace.
