Our Mission

Doorposts + Gates exists to help women live out Deuteronomy 6:4-9 by creating meaningful tools that keep Scripture at the center of daily life. Through art, journals, podcasts, and newsletters, our mission is to create intentional opportunities for women to engage with God’s Word, not just occasionally, but consistently, so that Scripture becomes woven into every aspect of their homes and hearts.

What is Doorposts + Gates?

Doorposts + Gates is a Christian company devoted to helping women establish life-giving rhythms of reading and dwelling in God’s Word. Scripture calls us to keep His words on our hearts, and we are passionate about equipping women with beautiful, intentional resources that invite them to open their Bibles daily.

Through Scripture art, guided journals, our podcast, and regular email encouragement, we seek to help women not only read the Word, but love it, growing deeper in their relationship with God and walking more closely with Jesus.

Our Story

Doorposts + Gates began with a simple desire. Our founder, Scarlett, and her husband wanted their home to be filled with visible reminders of God’s Word, truth that would encourage their hearts and shape their family each day.

What started as creating Scripture art for their own home soon grew into something more. As others connected with the mission, Doorposts + Gates expanded to include journals, newsletters, and a podcast, all created with the same purpose: to encourage women to fill their homes and lives with Scripture.

Today, that original desire remains at the heart of everything we do.

The Meaning Behind the Name

The name Doorposts + Gates comes from Deuteronomy 6:9, where God instructs His people to write His words on their doorposts and gates. This command paints a picture of a life fully surrounded by Scripture, where His truth is seen, remembered, and lived daily.

What began as Scripture art designed to reflect this command has grown into a broader mission. The name Doorposts + Gates now represents the call of Deuteronomy 6:4-9 as a whole: to keep God’s Word close, to return to it daily, and to let it shape every part of our lives.
